Conny Niehoff, born in Wolmirstedt in 1968, found her visual language early on. The artist has been defying fashions for years, persistently refining her elaborate paintings in which material and motif complement each other. Niehoff lives and works as a freelancer in her studio in Colbitz, a rather tranquil neighborhood near Magdeburg. Niehoff goes there every day at set times, even at weekends. This is a work discipline that she has adhered to continuously for 17 years in the same place.
From time to time, she gives painting courses in the Munich area and organizes workshops in her own studio. The knowledge of transience, visions of the world, normal everyday life and sensitivity to what surrounds us are the themes of Conny Niehoff's paintings.
