Etienne Donnay - discover artworks

Born in 1975, Etienne Donnay is a contemporary artist who does not want to be stylistically defined. In his works, the Dresden artist captures moments of subtle emotionality and contemplative stillness. As a sensitive observer, Donnay explores his immediate surroundings; on his forays and excursions he sketches visual poems, which are later transferred to canvas in the studio: "In my search for inspiration, I follow my intuition almost exclusively. I prefer to capture something in an emotional way." He currently visualises his impressions in free, expressionistic interpretations, whereby his path also leads as far as Pop Art.
