Dresden art gallery for modern art for over 15 years

Young studio creations meet authentic contemporary art at Inspire Art in Dresden

Providing sustainable access to art and culture for everyone is a top priority for us, which we have been resolutely pursuing for over 15 years.

Right next to the "Atrium am Rosengarten" at Hoyerswerdaer Str. 21 in Dresden, Andreas Garbe and Thomas Stephan show mainly works by contemporary painters in their producer gallery. Both founded the privately run gallery Abstrakte Momente in January 2005 and can now look back on an eventful gallery career. In the past 15 years, works by established but also young artists worthy of support have been supported and sold. In well over 50 exhibitions, the founders have also been able to show renowned international artists in recent years. Owner Thomas Stephan recalls:

"Originally, we focused our exhibition activities on the Dresden area, but with great interest we very quickly looked beyond the fringes of the local art scene."

As early as 2006, the Kunststätte showed curated works by the Mexican actionist Christian David Schwartz. The gallery owners also brought international flair to Dresden with Michaela Steinacher, a member of the Baden artists' association ASPEKT.
