Martina Krupickova
 | | Born in 1975, the artist is internationally active, currently living and working in Prague. At the age of 19, she graduated from the renowned Fashion Design School in Brno, where her skills in drawing and painting eventually developed. In 2018, Martina studied with the artist Jacob Dhein in Seville. There she was able to expand her artistic skills enormously and develop them further in a targeted manner.
Martina's style is constantly evolving; the strong strokes have become somewhat softer over time - she plays fantastically with light and shadow on a black background. |
"I like the versatility of the palette knife technique - it can be sharp as well as soft and abstract. When the viewer changes his perspective, he always captures new things, almost as if he were turning the pages of a book. The story begins with only a few background details that entice the recipient to dive deeper into the picture. And finally, the atmosphere draws him in.
"My paintings are based on personal experiences that reflect the visible - landscapes, city views and traffic." Martina manages to achieve a perfect balance between realism and artistic expression, testing the limits of contemporary style.
