Art Painter Ute Kleist - discover artworks
Ute Kleist works and lives as a freelance painter and draughtswoman in the busy Hanseatic city of Rostock. Her painting oscillates between representationalism and abstraction, whereby the nuances and gradations always appear fluidly foreseeable. Themes such as the connection between man and nature, her living space, love & encounter, pulsating life, the everyday, stillness and the special - much of what deeply touches her innermost self makes its way directly onto the canvas. The German artist works mainly with acrylics in large formats, whereby complexity, colour and expressiveness always play a central role. Her drawings, on the other hand, mostly in black and white, project her unique and filigree painting style in a special way into the foreground and make it tangible by means of virtuoso shading in a characteristic manner of representation.
