Berlin-born Petra Klos (63) calls her current creative phase in painting the "essence of abstraction". She draws particular inspiration from nature on her many travels around the world and later brings the final work to life in her studio. Her ideas come from all parts of the world and depict what people on the outskirts of big cities dream, fear and hope for. Her art is the blues of the present - and the brush, says the painter, changes everything.
