Wachsmann has her very own way of stepping out of line: Her works are characterized by a special variety of colours, whereby her style is absolutely unique and unmistakable. The artist generally uses a palette of acrylic paints and likes to experiment with charcoal on surfaces such as cotton, linen, wooden panels and cardboard. The Halberstadt native was born in 1972 into a family of artists and currently lives and works as a freelance painter in a small village between Hanover and Braunschweig. Her mostly large-format works are mostly characterized by dream illusions, whereby colour compositions with surface filling arise from perceived thoughts and emotions. The resulting abstract paintings and new figurative paintings, which are full of structure, are created largely without calculated brushstrokes.
