The artist Petra Klos

Restrooms

In her paintings Petra Klos succeeds in processing her present emotions, fantasies and moods again and again. Power, assertiveness, energy, as well as the artist's immediate feeling for color are increasingly reflected in the works she creates. By means of her distinctive techniques, the artist manages to express these qualities in colour and form with great passion and enthusiasm.

A style that stimulates reflection, one's own interpretation. She says about herself: "For me, the picture surface is "a field open on all sides", so that many of my works - despite their limitations imposed by the format - appear as a section of a larger whole. In all of this, I prefer simplicity in form and consistently aim for the effect of coloration and texture in the surface, with the color red playing an important role alongside earth tones."
