Short description

The macrofloral painting "Weltengarten No. 33" was created in November 2019 in the studio of Edelgard Wittkowski. This original artwork is 100% hand painted and therefore unique. The unique piece was personally hand-signed by the artist as well as dated and is stamped by the gallery Inspire Art on the back ("Certified Original"). The artist deals in her artistic work with the representation of macrofloral forms and real nature and works mainly with natural color pigments. On display is a particularly colourful and cheerful realisation of a floral detail. The artist uses realistic close-up and nature photographs, which she later paints on canvas in the studio.

ELWITT

Since Edelgard Wittkowski successfully completed her painting studies at the Novalis-Hochschulverein, the artist has been freelancing in her studio near Düsseldorf. In her works, the artist pays special attention to contemporary, informal painting. In doing so, she brings together the expressive strengths of colour to create intense compositions, so that lines and surfaces emerge from it and are brought together in a balanced, harmonious arrangement. All motifs always emerge from the line, according to the artist herself.

"Just as life can only arise from life, every curved line has its origin in itself." The lines, which intertwine in her paintings and sometimes gather centrally, often give rise to broad forms and outlines, which follow the laws of nature. In doing so, she seeks out phenomena and elements in the plant kingdom that can only be perceived and felt through intensive observation. In addition, the artist has developed a method of working from which applied areas of colour are artistically joined together in such a way that the quality of the colour emerges from the forms, some of which are superimposed. Thus, layer by layer, always new, changing image compositions are created, which evoke a very unique, special atmosphere.
