Original art painting "Gelbe Blüte" by Christine Meinhold

The Berlin-born artist Christine Meinhold is bursting with creative energy. She tirelessly devotes her work in particular to the nature that surrounds us. In doing so, she fragilely abstracts impressive landscape impressions, touching on floral themes in a particularly pronounced way, as well as the timeless sill life that is typical for her.

"My works reflect a part of the nature I have seen and experienced, but I translate what I have seen in the way it affects me, without reducing the power and originality of my environment."

The Berlin-born artist Christine Meinhold is bursting with creative energy. In her works, she tirelessly devotes herself in particular to the nature that surrounds us. In doing so, she fragilely abstracts impressive landscape impressions, touching on floral themes in a particularly pronounced way, as well as the timeless sill life that is typical for her.

"My works do reproduce a part of the nature I have seen and experienced, however, I transpose what I have seen in the way it affects me, without reducing the power and originality of my environment."
In abstraction Christine Meinhold unfolds her intuitive power, her spontaneity and her emotion without committing the viewer to a specific detail. One often finds landscapes, mainly with wide horizons. She breaks up the calmness of the picture with lines that both separate and connect. Her works symbolise the search for traces, convey balance and versatility as well as substantial stillness.
Using acrylic paints and inks, she creates powerful, expressive subjects, expressionist paintings worked with brush or palette knife, which transport the viewer into an imaginative world all of their own. The boundaries between abstraction and figuration are often fluid. By deliberately omitting details, she wants to point to the primordial nature and its power to overcome negative influences.

Christine Meinhold has been a freelance artist and lecturer at various academies since 1994.
