His programme is the joy of life: Movement and energy are the themes of the painter who lives near Freiburg. Powerful, free and turned towards existence, he seemingly treads new paths of abstraction. Florian Maiorescu's works illustrate this energy behind the abstract signs and are characterised in particular by his convincing and noticeably well thought-out pictorial compositions. In his artistic processes, he knows how to arrange abstract lines, sweeps and areas of colour in such a way that he unmistakably transfers everyday reality to the recipient in an abstracted form. He draws inspiration from holistic life experiences and from objects with which he surrounds himself. A drive for perfection in painting that is palpable and unmistakable to the viewer is evident and unmistakable in his abstract works of art.

From abstraction to figuration

After numerous experiments and intensive self-discovery, Maiorescu seems to have found a new pictorial language for himself. Originally at home in pure abstraction, figurative influences have visibly increased, as they have in his current creative phase, and seem to fill his works with life. His way of working is like himself: Comparable to a conductor, he arranges the voices of his orchestra out of colours, shapes and lines that resonate from within. Between tension and relaxation, excitement and serenity, a beat beats that is transmitted to the canvas. Always different and always authentic. The artist, who currently works in Neuenburg am Rhein, is drawn to his studio every chance he gets to complete what he started with artistic passion and enthusiasm: The exploration of colour and canvas.
