This unique painting shows an abstract landscape in white-blue color composition. The depicted elements refer to a completely free interpretation of the artist, which is largely free of objects. The painting title "Del Rio" suggests that the artist nevertheless assigns this abstract motif to worldly components. Nature plays an essential role. For the viewer it should be freely interpretable in every respect.

The artist Thomas Stephan

Thomas-stephan-165px

Thomas Stephan, born 1975 in Dresden, deals in his work as an artist with the most catchy: The effect of colors on the human sensation: For him, the color must constantly enter into new interactions, permanently merge until completion. Thus his painting techniques, as well as materials change continuously.

At first glance, Thomas Stephan's mostly large-format paintings seem trivial in the otherwise concept-oriented way of working, but appearances are deceptive: the cleverly composed depictions are multi-layered and very intense. Layer by layer, he succeeds, as he says, in "conquering the surface of the canvas" and establishing a balance between representational and abstract elements. The artist constantly reinvents himself and is convinced that it is necessary to work on the unfinished work until a state of perfection and a seamless harmony is reached. The completion of a work of art can only be achieved in harmony with one's own predetermined demands. To this day, the artist has been able to work out a multitude of different painting techniques. The persistent urge for always "new" is unmistakably present in his works. After completing his studies several years ago, Thomas Stephan has devoted himself intensively to modern painting and thus created a steadily growing, national and international customer base.
